Over the last 10 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients in an attempt to improve their mental health wellbeing by using the practice of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I’ve worked with members of the general public, inpatients at hospitals, vulnerable people in charities, the NHS, corporate organisations and now my own private clinic. All of the unique journeys these experiences have afforded me, allow me to work with people from all backgrounds with a wide-range of challenges.
Better mental health & wellbeing should be a priority for everyone and I look forward to working with you.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been proven to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, sleep problems, general stress, low self-esteem, perfectionism and much more.
CBT is also often referred to as a "talking therapy". It focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions.
CBT sessions don't always have to be one-on-one, group sessions can also be very effective in treating mental health problems. Participants often find it helpful to meet others who live with similar difficulties as they can help each other and share their experiences.
If you or someone you know runs a community group, organisation or something similar, and wants to organise a series of group CBT sessions, then get in touch.
For companies and small businesses that want to run mental health workshops, please get in touch. I can help design and run one-off, or a series of workshops for you and your employees.
Examples of workshops I can run are: How to deal with mental health in the workplace, Effective breathing techniques, Stress reduction and much more.
Clinical supervisions are a very important part of the therapy profession, for both beginners and more advanced practitioners. As an experienced therapist, I offer supervision to my fellow therapists.
Supervision can be useful when working with a client who has an issue you're unfamiliar with, identifying blind spots, exploring dilemmas or when getting advice on trying new techniques.
Finding the right therapist is important. That's why I offer a free initial consultation to see if we're a right fit for each other before starting the sessions.
Following the assessment session, we will begin our core block of CBT sessions. These sessions are tailored to you and aim to help you overcome the challenges you're facing.
In this first session, we will go through a range of questions and topics to learn more about you as a person and about your current problem.
